CannHill® acquires a 2.5 hectares and begins building a greenhouse

New phytopharmaceutical company, CannHill SAS®, has expressed its intention to begin growing medical cannabis in Colombia within the next six months.
The company has acquired a 2.5 HA site near the city of Medellin in the province of Antiquioa, which will be the base of its operations, providing a facility for cultivating cannabis plants and extracting oil which will be used to make a range of cannabis based products.
The company has a number of licenses pending, with the Colombian government, which will allow CannHill SAS®, to cultivate psychoactive and non-psychoactive cannabis and to manufacture derivative products for domestic purposes and export.
Work has begun on the construction of a greenhouse facility which has the potential to grow thousands of plants. The Colombian climate and light cycle (hours of daylight and darkness) provides perfect conditions for cultivating cannabis, allowing 4 harvests per year.
Project Director Monica Sanchez says, “This is a very exciting time for Colombia and also for CannHill. We are a new company but we are not new to this sector and the company is backed by a great deal of experience.”
CannHill SAS® has secured cannabis genetics for the project through the close collaboration with Paradise Products SAS, who will be providing seeds and clones to CannHill SAS®. Paradise Products SAS is the Colombian based company of Paradise Seeds in the Netherlands, which has been breeding cannabis genetics for over 30 years.
